libcommons-compress-java software package provides Java API for working with compression and archive formats, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcommons-compress-java
libcommons-compress-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcommons-compress-java package were installed using the commands given below,
